Characteristics application:

Recommended application of HPMC (Metolose) produced by Shin-Etsu: low viscosity HPMC is used as binder, film coating, sustained release polymer materials, stabilizer, suspending agent and thickener in oral solid preparation.

60SH-50: Binder

60SH-50,60SH-4000; 90SH-4000, 90SH-4000 SR, 90-100,000 SR are used as hydrophilic matrix material for sustained release tablet.

60SH-4000,90SH-4000 are used as colloid drug. Ordinary brand's Metolose mean diameter is 70um, SR's mean diameter is 50um. HPMC's particle size distribution has certain effects on sustained release tablet's releasing.
